Today was interesting to say the least.
Today we started video training. Hopefully I'll be uploading some stuff soon so you can see my work.
But that was not the most interesting part of the day.
After training, we accompanied Christy, who is in charge of internships and such, to Sam's Club. Melissa, Maddy, and I climbed into her old, red, "jank" van to make the half hour trip there. While going through an intersection on the way, we heard sirens and upon further inspection we saw there was a person laying in the middle of the road and a girl was standing outside her vehicle crying. Basically, I think she hit a pedestrian. Great.

So we finally made it to Sam's Club and for the most part made it in and out without too much hassle. Except that corn on the cob was WAY overpriced. There were a few things we couldn't find in Sam's Club so while Maddy and Christy when into Walmart to get them, Melissa and I loaded the van with the two completely full, overflowing carts of food. Then we proceeded to sit in the van for 45 minutes.
Apparently, Maddy and Christy got in line behind a women who was buying SIX WEEKS worth of food through welfare checks. After spending most of those 45 minutes in line, they finally made it out to van.
Then last but not least, as we were driving back to AIM, we saw an incidence that made us all freak. We were sitting at a stop light and noticed a husband and wife crossing the road with a stroller. They started crossing right as the light turned green but of course Christy let them cross. Oncoming traffic did not. While the mother made it across, the dad thought it best to turn around and RUN back to the side of the street they came from. He pushed the stroller so hard that when it hit the curb the stroller toppled forward with the baby going down face first into the concrete. All of us in the van gasped, practically jumping out of the van. The dad then proceeded to pick up the stroller, the baby dangling from it and screaming. Christy quickly turned around being that she's a first responder but when she called out the window at the dad, he didn't seem to hear her. He had the baby on his hip and the toddler was still screaming. They crossed the street safely the second time.
Oh, and dinner was two hours late.
But God is so good. He is totally showing his provision and I love my Philly team. We are spending a bit more time in Georgia before we head to Philly so pray that we don't go stir-crazy and continue to connect and bond.
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. -Philippians 4:19

I hope the pedestrian was OK . . .and the woman at the grocery has enough to feed her family for more than 6 weeks.
I am looking forward to your posts - sweetie! Don't forget God is at work, perhaps especially, in the small, interruptive,"chaotic" things of our lives. So much of life is that way.
